Yesterday was the first official day of spring and you can really tell in Alabama. All the trees are blooming and the grass is starting to turn green again. I know you are probably all tired of seeing me in black and white but I can’t help it. I always gravitate toward it no matter what pattern. Today I decided to mix polka dot and tribal print in a small way. I also changed up my hairstyle.

This is the first time I have had my hair up on the blog and hopefully not the last. I went for a low pony and a side fishtail braid for a day of running errands and I really like the way it turned out. I really love braids and experimenting with them but with my dark hair it makes it hard to tell that there is even a braid there. Hopefully soon I will branch out to more fun hairstyles and share some tips with y’all about how to achieve them. I hope you all enjoy your beginnings of spring.

I love this simple look, black included! There’s never a way to over do the black, as far as I’m concerned 😉
