Statement Sleeves

Happy Friday y’all! The weekend is so close and this outfit is going to match it perfectly because it is going to be grey, stormy weather the whole time. If you know me you know that I hate rainy weather but a bright spot for this weekend is a Swoozie’s bridal event that I am attending on Sunday. I’m so excited to finally be doing wedding related activities, so I may use Instagram Stories to show y’all some of the event.

It’s been so warm in Alabama lately that the extent of my winter wardrobe has been a long sleeve top and some jeans – no coat required. So to keep in the winter mood I have been wearing my favorite black and grey pieces.

My favorite thing about this look is that I was able to incorporate two current trends while staying true to my style. I have been loving the statement sleeves trend and I’ll still be wearing it into the Spring and Summer months. The other trend I tried out is embroidery. I have seen it so much on shoes, jeans, and jackets but I wanted to keep it simple for my first piece and went with a crossbody bag.

I have also been keeping my makeup on the vampy side as well. Dark lipsticks have always been my favorite to wear and the winter season is when I pull them out the most. If you have followed me for awhile then you already know about my love for Mac’s ‘Diva’ lipstick but lately I have been leaning more towards liquid lipsticks because they last forever without budging.
