10 Beauty Tips & Tricks

10 Beauty Tips & TricksHappy Friday! I wanted to share 10 beauty tips and tricks with you before the weekend. Tomorrow I will be heading to a pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, watching the Alabama game, and hosting a birthday party. To get through busy times (or really any time) of the year it’s always good to have beauty tricks up your sleeve. I am not saying any of these are new but they may be new to you and could help you out in life or your beauty routine. Have a great weekend!

1| Brush your hair from the bottom up to get out tangles. This way your work out the tangles first instead of brushing knots into more knots. (Thanks Mom for teaching me this one!)

2| Whenever you are putting on eye cream or under eye concealer use your ring finger to pat in the product. It will be the lightest and add warmth to help work in the product.

3| Take your makeup off as soon as you get home if you know you won’t go out again. This will keep you from sleeping in it if you get to tired and you can start on your skincare routine earlier (you may even have time for a face mask).

4| To make your lips appear fuller use a lighter shade of lipstick or gloss in the very center of your top and bottom lips to add depth.

5| To get your winged liner even use a small piece of tape on the edge of each eye and follow that line with your liner. Fill in and peel off the tape for even liner.

6| Use a dryer sheet or a toothbrush sprayed with hairspray to tame frizz and baby hairs.

7| To clean up mistakes or to define your brows use a small amount of concealer around the outside of your brow. Blend it out and you are good to go.

8| Wash your make up brushes regularly to avoid spreading bacteria (which can cause breakouts) and to get the best color pay off.

9| To make your eyes look smaller and more sultry smudge a black kohl liner on the bottom water line. For the opposite effect, make them look more open by using a nude or white pencil on the water line.

10| To make your mascara last longer don’t pump it in the tube. This dries it out and it won’t last as long. Instead swirl it around down in the tube to get more product onto the brush

I live by tip number three to avoid breakouts and allow my skin to breathe. My mom taught me the first one too!

It really does help a lot. I really just don’t like having a lot of product all over my hands either.

That’s good because it is one of the worst things you can do to your skin.

Yes it is, and I really try hard not too. But sometimes I am guilty of doing it. 🙁

Oh while I knew some of these (my mum taught me the hair brushing one too!) the one about taking your makeup off as soon as you know you’re home for the evening is a great one! I should do that more often. Even though I only wear BB cream most days, it would be nice to give my skin some time to be natural before bed.

These are great tips! I never thought about taking my makeup off as soon as I get home. I am super guilty of falling asleep before I finish my nightly routine.

The good thing is you can start on your skincare and not have an excuse not to do all of it.

Great tips! I always wash my face when I get home. By bedtime, I’m too tired to do it!
