September is upon us and that means it is also fashion month. Lots of bloggers have already flocked to New York for fashion week and will soon be heading to London, Milan, and Paris. While I will not be heading to any of those cities this month I was able to attend Birmingham Fashion week here in my own state. I wanted to look my best and so I am letting you know what I use for beauty prep for fashion week no matter where it is in the world.
Shop The Post
I noticed during fashion week that most people attending are viewing it through the screen of their phone. Since you will most likely be seen with a phone in front of your face it might as well look fabulous too. You can make a statement and add some glam to your tech with the Otterbox Symmetry Series iPhone 6 case. It comes in three different Swarovski crystal colors.
Picture Perfect Hair
I live in the South so frizz is an everyday issue for me and I need good styling products to fight it. So to prep for fashion week I used the Paul Mitchel Awapuhi Wild Ginger Hydrocream Whip. This stuff helps to give you volume and can be used if you want your hair curly or straight.
Runway Ready Legs
Even though you might not be up on the runway you still will be strutting your stuff. To keep my skin smooth I used the Tree Hut Bare Moisturizing Shave Oil. I love using oils in the shower and if it helps me to get a closer shave then I am all for it.
Speaking of picture perfect hair. I went for a sleek lob while I was at Fashion week. You can see one the looks here. I was able to get this long lasting sleek look with the LumaBella Cool Mist Straightener. I have never used a straightener like this before. It applies a conditioning treatment right before it straightens which makes your hair so shiny and keeps away frizz.
In order for my make up to look good it always starts with a good base which means good skincare. Face masks are my favorite skincare product to try out. Now in the age of multi-masking it is even more fun. Clay masks are usually my favorite for clearing up my skin so I knew right away I was going to love the Vichy Mineral Pore Purifying Clay Mask. I like to combine this mask with the Vichy Quenching Mineral mask for any areas of my skin that are feeling dry. If my skin is not having any major issues then I will use the Vichy Double Glow peel face mask to give a nice overall glow to my skin.
