Double Denim

black american eagle jeggings double denimI never thought I would be wearing a denim shirt. I have always loved how they looked on everyone else but I couldn’t find the right one for me. Then last week this gem appeared at Target. I was browsing and completely fell in love. I think it was the darker hue rather than the usual chambray that did it for me.

I love the structure of this top and I can tell it will get a lot wear into Spring and Summer. I decided to go for a double denim look and paired it with these black jeans from American Eagle. I love the way the black and dark blue paired together. To lighten up the look I went with these camel colored boots and a matching belt. After I had the look together it felt like it was missing something, so I went through my jewelry and noticed this handmade necklace from The Blue Hippie matched perfectly. I love the handmade pieces Savannah makes and how all of them are unique.

I’m so bad at layering denim…but this post has just given me life and inspiration!! Definitely going to try it this spring. You look so great!

Thank you! I’m glad I could help. This does seem more like a Spring look but it’s been in the 50s and 60s here lately so it’s been appropriate.

I love your take on the denim on denim look. They’re not the typical shades of denim, and that’s why I love this so much. Thanks for linking up with me, hope to see you next week! I’ll be pinning this to the linkup board.
