Favorite Beauty Products of 2014

I wanted to end the year on my blog with my favorite beauty products for the year. I discovered a lot of new products this year that have quickly become my go to for everyday. I picked up the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation this summer and I have been using it ever since. It is normally a heavy coverage but it does give a flawless look. On days when I want a lighter coverage I use a smaller amount and sheer it out with a makeup sponge.

Bronzers are the hardest to get right in my opinion. The Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer is perfect. It is matte shade that doesn’t make me look muddy and is great for contouring or bronzing all over. It also doesn’t hurt that it smells like chocolate.

My favorite part of my makeup routine is the eyes, so I tend to spend more effort and money when it comes to products for them. My Lorac Pro Palette was well loved this year. This is a palette that I recommend everyone to pick up. It is cheaper than a lot of the other popular palettes out there and is more versatile. The top row is all matte colors and the bottom colors have shimmer to them. The shadows have amazing pigmentation and are so creamy.

A go to look for me is winged liner and lots of lashes. The Lorac Cream Liner is the best one I have used so far. It is very black and goes on really smooth. To get the perfect lashes I use the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. This is my holy grail mascara because it creates very full lashes with a lot of volume.

I have loved wearing lipsticks this year more than any other and I think part of that is starting this blog. To make sure my lips are smooth so that the lipstick will go on better I use the Lush Lip Scrub. Their lip scrubs are amazing and last a very long time. The two lipsticks that I have used the most throughout the year are Mac ‘Viva Glam II’ and Chanel ‘Rivoli’.

My last few favorites are more random. I have been trying to take better care of my hair this year and I was looking for a good product to reduce frizz and make my hair softer. I picked up the Bb Invisible Hairdresser’s Oil after reading recommendations from other bloggers and immediately fell in love with the results. My favorite thing about the it is that is works on wet or dry hair. If you are looking for a product to use after getting out of the shower I would definitely recommend this.

This year I was looking to find a signature every day scent. I loved the idea of having a smell that people could associate with me. I wanted to stray away from anything too sweet and eventually landed on See by Chloe. This perfume is perfect for everyday because it has a light scent that won’t overwhelm everyone around you. Another smell I fell in love with is the Sweet Citrus scent of the Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil. This body butter is incredibly moisturizing and sinks into your skin without leaving a greasy feeling.

If anyone made it to the end of this post then thank you for reading my beauty ramblings. I hope you all have a wonderful New Year!
