It has only been in the last couple of years that I have taken haircare more seriously. When I was in high school my hair was either my wavy/curly natural hair or pin straight. I never put much thought into what I used except for a heat protectant every now and then. The story is completely different now. I take better care of my hair by deep conditioning, using oils, and always using a heat protectant when I style my hair. The difference is incredibly once you begin to care for your hair.
Starting in the shower I like to use a rich conditioner for every day and a heavier deep conditioner for once or twice a week. I have loved the Coconut Milk conditioner because it is makes my hair very shiny and soft. For days when I know I will be styling my hair I use a deep conditioner. I picked up the Joico Moisture Recovery and have been in love. It is a really thick balm and tames my frizz perfectly. As soon as I get out of the shower I use an oil. On days when I am leaving my hair natural I use the Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil. This stuff is my holy grail hair product! This product is so amazing because I can use it on my damp hair to create softness or on my dry hair to fight flyaway. It doesn’t weigh down your hair plus it smells incredible. If I am going to be styling my hair I use the Macadamia No Tangle Spray. This spray is a little heavier on the hair so you can’t concentrate too much in one area. It softens and untangles my hair so it is ready to be styled. The heat protectant I use now is the Guardian Angel by Got 2b. It is labeled as a flat iron balm but I spray it on any time I am using heat on my hair. To finish off a look I like to use the Soma Shine Spray. This is an extra step that makes the hairstyle feel complete.
