Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette
When I saw this palette was coming out for the Houglass Holiday collection I knew I had to try it out. I have heard so many amazing things about the hourglass products, especially the powders, that I knew it would be worth it. So I went straight to the Hourglass site and signed up for the waitlist.
A big reason I wanted to try out the Edit palette was because I don’t own any of the Hourglass powders and I figured this would be the perfect way to try out the different types. These powders do live up to the hype. The two blushes are gorgeous and give a little bit of sheen on your cheeks. They would look good on basically any skintone. The bronzer if a beautiful glowing shade but it does draw orange so it may not be suitable for all skin types.
The top row of powders are the highlight of this palette for me.(pun completely intended) The powder on the right has a slight yellow tone that makes it perfect to highlight and set the undereyes and follow up to the cheekbones. The middle shade is the new Iridescent Light, and it is gorgeous for highlighting anywhere on the face and could even make a nice all over lid color or brow highlight. The shade to the left is great for an all over glow or layering over blushes to give a healthy glow.
Now don’t let the pictures fool you, those pans are small compared to the individual sized products. I have to use my smaller powder brushes when using these products. If you already own most or even some of these colors you may just want to continue with the full size options.Unless you collect palettes or want smaller versions that are easy for travel.
It is on the pricier side but it is great if you have been wanting to try out some of the hourglass products. Overall I am extremely happy I held out and got to test out all these products at once. I think the price is worth it because it will take me a long time to ever hit pan on these.
