How to Wear a Dress in Winter

How to Wear a Dress in WinterThe new year and cold weather have made it and I decided to wear a dress. During the summer I wore a dress almost everyday of the week. Since the fall and winter seasons have hit may dresses have been getting less and less wear. I figured out how to wear a dress in Winter. The answer is lots of layers!

kushyfoot tights layered winter monochrome look kushyfoot fleece lined socksquay my girl brown sunglassesDress: Target (similar) | Blazer: Similar | Tights & Socks: c/o Kushy Foot | Boots: Similar | Scarf: Nordstrom | Beanie: Target | Sunglasses: Quay | Bag: Similar

The first step to layering this look was to add sleeves. I chose this blazer because it is a great length to pair with dresses and it is not too thick that you wouldn’t be able to add a coat on top. I didn’t want to have thick black tights to add bulk to this look so I went with these fishnet style ones with some fleece lined socks to go under the boots.

For added warmth I put on a beanie and scarf. If you need more layers you can throw on a coat, thicker tights, or a heavier scarf. If you aren’t into a monochrome look, you can even add color in wherever you would like. All of these layers will be sure to keep you warm even though you are wearing a dress in Winter.

I like how you layered the dress. Fleecelined tights are great for wearing dresses in the winter. They are so cozy.

Thank you. That’s the tricky part when layering. I hate looking super bulky.
