Monochrome Doesn’t Mean Black

Happy Monday! I’m a little slow to start today because of the time change but the extra hour of sunshine is totally worth it to me. I pulled out this look to wear while I soaked in some early Spring weather on Sunday before it turned cold again. I love when the look you have in your mind actually comes together in person. That is exactly what this blue monochrome outfit was for me.

Top: Target | Pants: Nordstrom (under $50 and comes in 3 colors!) | Earrings: Baublebar | Shoes: Old, similar here | Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters (under $20!) | Rings: Forever 21

This look is a great representation of a spring transition look. These navy pants (last seen here) are one of my favorite pieces and they work so well for the transition into warmer weather because of how lightweight they are. So don’t forget about your fall and winter pieces to help you transition into Spring. You can also pair those cold weather pieces with lighter colors to help make the look more Spring appropriate – bonus points if you make it monochrome. To top off the look just add in some Spring accessories. These tassel earrings and white shoes will be staples in my wardrobe for the next six months.

This outfit is simply stunning! I love how simple it is but so chic at the same time! The off-the-shoulder top with that sleeve detail is my favorite part of it but I’m loving those shoes too! Thank you so much for sharing with us at On Monday We Link-Up :).

Yes!! It’s always bothered me when people associate “monochrome” with the color black. We have a full spectrum of colors! I’m loving this look!

I say 100% yes to monochrome! I used to not be a fan of navy (weird I know) but I’m gravitating to it more and more now. I’ve actually worn something similar to this for work, but with a collared light blue striped shirt. I love how your pants have the tie at the waist!

I’m with you! I’m not really into a monochrome black outfit, so I try out this trend using my fave colors in different shades. The blue on blue is stunning on you! Love your pants the most 🙂
