Nighttime Skincare Routine

Happy Halloween!! This year I really procrastinated on getting a costume so I don’t have any fun Halloween looks to show you. Instead I am getting back into beauty posts and sharing my nighttime skincare routine. I really missed doing beauty posts because skincare and makeup are some of my favorite things to shop for. I’ve got a new routine going and a lot of new products since my last post so I thought I would keep y’all updated.

The first step of my nighttime skincare routine is always to cleanse my face. To remove my makeup I use the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm. I’ve already talked before on here about my love for cleansing oils and this one is my favorite right now. It takes off all of my makeup so easily and doesn’t leave a residue when I wash it off. Don’t forget to cleanse your neck as well.

The next step is to go in for a second cleanse. If I didn’t wear any makeup that day then I will only cleanse once with Cetaphil. If I did end up wearing makeup I go in with my Clarisonic Mia 2 and the Clarisonic Deep Pore cleanser. I was really late to the cleansing device trend because I thought it wouldn’t really make a difference in my skin but I was definitely wrong. The Clarisonic has become a staple in my routine now. It feels gentle on the skin but is still able to deep clean my skin. If I have a lot of makeup then I will go in straight away with the Clarisonic to break down all the makeup really quickly.

After cleansing I go in with a toner. I switch back and forth between the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads and the Pixi Glow Tonic. After I let my face dry I use either the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion or the Clean and Clear Acne Spot Treatment for any spots I may have. They both work really well but the Clean and Clear is more affordable.

To start hydrating I go in with the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream but in the morning I use the First Aid Beauty Triple Eye Remedy because it has pigmentation that helps to brighten any dark circles. You should always pat an eye cream in and never tug because the skin there is very thin.

The next step is to apply a serum. I actually have quite a few that I like to rotate between because serum is my favorite step. I tend to splurge more on serum because I feel like it makes the most difference in my skin. Right now I am using the Cosmedix Affirm Serum but I also love the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate and the Sunday Riley Juno. I always bring serums and moisturizers down my neck and decollete as well.

After the serum has set in for about 10 minutes I go in with a moisturizer to seal everything in. Right now I am testing out the Dr. Jart Water Drop moisturizer. The last step is to use the Kaplan MD Perfect Pout Duo. I like to use something heavier then a balm at night so it has a lot of time to sink in and that completes my nighttime skincare routine.
