Happy Wednesday! Festival season is now upon us and while I am not heading to Coachella I will be going to HangOut Fest at the end of May. This is actually going to be my first festival and I am so excited to get some beach time in and some great music. I am starting to think about getting ready for it and I know a lot of you may be heading to different festivals in the next few months. So I thought today I would share how i’m prepping for festival season. Besides the obvious shopping for the best outfits and swimsuits I am getting other things together.
The first item on my to do list is to get my hair as healthy as possible. I’ll be in the sun and water all day so I want to stop as much damage as I can. I recently got a cut to get rid of the dead ends and now I am trying to moisturize. I’m currently using a combination of different products including the coconut water line from Renpure. I was introduced to this brand a couple months ago after I saw a recommendation of their Argan Oil shampoo on the Into the Gloss site. I got it soon after and I have been loving it so when I saw the new Black Label Coconut line I was up for trying more from the brand. This stuff really does moisturize. It has 100% organic, unrefined coconut oil that does a seriously good job at making my hair feel healthy and shiny.
Next up is some cozy pjs. After partying all day and night at the festival I am going to worn out so I want to put on the most comfortable pajamas I can. That’s where P.J. Salvage comes in. I have honestly never felt softer pajamas. The best part is the bralette can be worn under a white tee or with a cutout back to show off the cute detail. I love pieces that are versatile so this was right up my alley. The pants are also incredibly soft and great for lounging around before you head out to the shows for the day.
These are definitely the items that get forgotten for a trip but they are still very important. Being in shorts and swimsuits the whole time I am at the festival I definitely need my legs to be smooth and soft. Whether you shave or use Nad’s wax strips you don’t want to have hairy legs, unless of course you do then more power to you. For me personally I hate having hairy legs. If you need a quick wax at home you can use these strips to get your smooth legs to last longer. The other item is Clear Eyes Pure Relief. I wear contacts so when I am out in the sun and on the beach my eyes dry out. Eye drops definitely save the day for me especially when I don’t have time to go back to the hotel to change into new contacts. These are also preservative free in a multi-dose bottle at retail in the US and there is a $3 discount right now that you can download here.
Last but not least are the road trip essentials…Snacks! I’ll be making a bit of road trip for HangOut fest so I definitely need snacks and a drink for the ride. I’ve always been a huge fruity candy person so it’s no surprise for me to pick up some Sour Punch straws and bites to munch on. The bites are my favorite because you get multiple flavors and they are just so addicting. These straws are good too if you like some kick in your candy. So I don’t know about you but I can not eat anything without having a drink. It’s a quirk of mine but it’s necessary. Lately i have been trying to get away from drinking sodas and having focused more on flavored waters. This Melon Pomelo La Croix is not too sweet and has a bit of tangy flavor to it.
I hope you enjoyed my round up of how I am prepping for festival season. If you want to follow along with my trip to HangOut Fest I will be posting about it here and on my social media channels. Have a great rest of the week!
