TBScon Day 1 and a Cocktail Dress

TBScon Day 1 and a Cocktail Dress

Happy Wednesday! I am struggling this week to get back into my routine after the trip to Chicago. I am excited to start sharing with y’all what I wore and did on the trip. So I headed to Chicago last Thursday to go to a blogging conference called The Blog Societies Conference (TBScon). This was my second year going, you may remember my posts from Charleston this time last year. I stayed with my friend Molly from Miss Molly Moon and some new blogging friends, Erica and Jenny. Meeting new blogging friends is one of my favorite things about his conference. I was lucky enough to meet so many incredible ladies this year.

Day 1

TBScon day 1 the festivities didn’t begin until that evening. I landed in Chicago around 12 and headed to the hotel to meet Jenny. I was starving so we headed to lunch at Eataly, which is this really interesting Italian place that is basically a whole building filled with mini-restaurants for you to choose from. Then we headed to Drybar to get our hair done before the welcome cocktail party that night.

The welcome party was hosted by Vera Bradley at Sugar Factory. It was nice to see so many people from last year and meet so many new girls. Next, we headed to Cindy’s which is a rooftop restaurant and bar that overlooks millennium park and the bean. Lollapalooza ended up getting rained out the same time we left the restaurant so getting back to the hotel was definitely an adventure. All in all, it was a great start to the conference. My recap and look for Day 2 will be up on Friday!

Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. This lace dress is a great find. You can even wear it in fall with a cardigan as the burgundy is a classic that works all seasons.
