nude wedges

There’s always those occasions that no matter what you are always struggling with what to wear. For me weddings are the main source of my fashion anxiety. I am always running around trying to find the perfect dress just days before.gold watchwedding wearnavy lace dress                                   Dress: Similar | Shoes: Altar’d State (similar) | Watch: Target

I have found the secret to beating the panic of of finding wedding wear and it was all inspired by this dress. Shift dresses have always been a staple in my closet so it only makes sense that they be my go to when I am clueless for what to wear. Texture and color choice are important for taking a simple shift to the next level. The floral over lay and navy color made this dress perfect for a more casual wedding that I attended earlier this year. If the occasion was more formal I would have opted for a floor length dress but still keeping in mind texture and color. The accessories should be simple and in a neutral palette to leave the main focus on the dress. I opted for a gold jewelry and nude wedges to complete the look. I hope this helps next time you are getting ready for a wedding.

I always seem to go for the fit and flare dresses for weddings, but I think the shift dresses would be a little bit more fun to dress up. Plus I absolutely adore the lace texture of this dress! xo

Fit and flares do show off your shape better. Those would go great too for weddings. I am just partial to shift dresses because of the looser fit.
